The EDL point location may vary depending on the device's hardware revision. Here are some common locations:
It is a set of two exposed copper test points on a smartphone's motherboard. By shorting these points (connecting them with metal tweezers or a wire) while plugging the phone into a PC, you force the Qualcomm Snapdragon processor to enter Emergency Download Mode (EDL) . This allows you to flash firmware even if the phone is hard-bricked or the bootloader is locked.
"The bootloader is locked, and the partition is corrupted," Adrian muttered to himself, scratching his chin. "USB debugging is off. I can’t use ADB. I can’t use Fastboot. It’s a chicken-and-egg situation."
On the Redmi Note 9 Pro, EDL mode is via key combinations (Volume Down+Power) as on some older Xiaomi phones. You must force the device into EDL by shorting a test point on the motherboard.
Note: EDL points are identical for joyeuse, curtana, and gram.
: Completely turn off the device and disconnect the battery cable for safety.
: Check the Windows Device Manager under "Ports (COM & LPT)." It should display "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008". Software Tools for Flashing
