Normally, when you launch Minecraft through the official launcher, it verifies your account credentials with Mojang/Microsoft servers. SKLauncher intercepts or replaces that step, instead using a local “offline” or “fake” authentication method. This tricks the game into thinking you have a valid account, letting you play the full single-player and most multiplayer modes.
