The movie revolves around the lives of two mismatched individuals, Ishaan (Arjun Rampal), a carefree and happy-go-lucky young man, and Pooja (Juhi Chawla), a strict and traditional woman. Their lives intersect when Ishaan comes to Pooja's gurukul (a type of boarding school) as a temporary teacher. As they spend more time together, they develop a bond, which gradually blossoms into romance.
