The Isuzu 4FG1 is a non-turbocharged, four-cylinder diesel engine that belongs to Isuzu’s larger “G-Series” family (which includes the 6BG1 and 4BG1). Produced primarily in the 1980s and 1990s, this engine was rarely found in road cars. Instead, it became a legendary powerplant for industrial machinery, excavators, forklifts, and generators.
