The premiere episode serves as a cold open to the harsh realities of the camp. The luxury vehicles and red carpets are instantly replaced by military-grade helicopters and rugged terrain vehicles.

If past seasons are any guide, Episode 1 will end on a cliffhanger: a campmate refusing to complete a trial, a medical evacuation, or a heated argument over sleeping arrangements. The title "Päästäkää minut pois!" (Get Me Out of Here!) is usually screamed during the first Bush Tucker Trial.
