Once the Note 9 is in EDL mode via the test point, standard Odin software is often insufficient. Advanced tools are required:

EDL stands for . It is a hardware-level feature built into Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets. Unlike standard Download Mode (often accessed via button combos), EDL mode is a low-level state intended for factory testing and emergency firmware recovery.
Once in 9008 mode, the phone will not show any display or LED. It is now controlled entirely via PC.
