Mature Mom
I say "I love you" like it’s punctuation. I take the video even when I’m embarrassed to be the oldest one at the recital. I sit in the floor even though my knees will hate me tomorrow. I say yes to the cookies. I say yes to the cuddles. I say no to the unnecessary stress.
They don’t tell you this when you’re young and holding a positive pregnancy test with trembling hands. mature mom
What I have now is intentionality .

Don’t tell me I started too late. Tell me I started exactly when I was supposed to. I say yes to the cookies
When you become a mother in your twenties, you are still becoming yourself. The lines blur. You lose pieces of your identity to the baby, and it takes years to find them again.
