"Ducking" is the process of lowering the volume of background music so that dialogue can be heard clearly. It is a standard part of every documentary and vlog. Premiere Pro 2020 automated this entirely. Using the Essential Sound panel, editors could tag clips as "Dialogue" or "Music," and the AI would automatically adjust the volume levels of the music whenever dialogue was detected. It created keyframes automatically, offering a smoother, more professional audio mix in seconds.
