Wrong Turn 6: Last Resort is the sound of a franchise running out of road. It’s not so bad it's good; it's just... there. A forgotten relic of the DTV era that proves sometimes, the scariest thing a horror movie can do is bore you to death.
Okay, I can’t be entirely negative. When the film finally commits to the kills, the practical effects are surprisingly good. There’s a death involving a hot tub drain that is genuinely inventive and stomach-churning. Another scene with a shotgun and a door is classic DTV gold.
