"Qui" ends with a somber tone. In the past, the group must process the death of Javi. In the present, the revelation that Van is the blackmailer brings Taissa, Van, Shauna, and Natalie (who has returned from Lottie's cult compound) into a tense standoff. The "MPC" plotline successfully bridges the gap between Misty's chaotic neutral antics and the central tragedy of the Yellowjackets' shared trauma.
The moral panic is not external (e.g., “Satanic panic” of the 80s) but internal: panic over their own humanity. The cultic response provides a cognitive escape from unbearable guilt.
A massive snowstorm hits the cabin. The survivors are starving and freezing. Ben (Coach Scott) is still missing a leg and struggling with infection and the psychological weight of his situation.
