The second season of the Amazon Prime Video original series, (alternatively titled Jogo da Corrupção in Brazil), premiered on November 4, 2022 . This season shifts its satirical lens from the 2015 "FIFA-Gate" scandal of the first season to the origin story of how soccer became a multi-billion dollar global industry. Plot Overview: The Rise of João Havelange

| Feature | Season 1 | Season 2 (AMR Enhanced) | |--------|---------|--------------------------| | | 4 factions (Capitalists, Communists, Religious, Military) | 6 factions (+ Greens, Tech Bros) | | Economy | Export-based simplicity | Global market volatility + debt spiral | | Propaganda | Basic radio ads | Full deepfake broadcasts & "alternative facts" edicts | | Assassination | Risky & random | Precision via "Loyalty Tokens" | | Endgame | Win election | Avoid IMF coup, family betrayal, or rebel victory |

In the context of the show's narrative, Raouraoua is presented as the "Anti-Jadue." While Sergio Jadue (played by Andrés Parra) was a naive pawn used by the US FBI to take down CONMEBOL, Raouraoua is depicted as a brilliant, calculating, and ambitious tactician. He is the President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) and sets his sights on the highest seat in world football: the FIFA Presidency.

Season 2, subtitled The Golden Curtain (or focusing on the "Arab Spring" of football), picks up in the wake of Sepp Blatter’s resignation. The world of international football is in shambles, and power vacuums are opening everywhere.
