When Abbott’s longtime art teacher retires, Janine is overjoyed to help hire her college best friend, Sahar (played by Mitra Jouhari), as the new volunteer art teacher. However, Sahar’s avant-garde approach quickly clashes with Melissa’s strict adherence to classroom traditions. The conflict peaks when Sahar uses books Melissa bought with her own money to create a large-scale art installation, forcing Janine to finally stand up to her friend to defend Melissa’s classroom.
