Adobe Audition is a leading Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) used for professional audio editing, restoration, and mixing. However, its subscription-based pricing model creates a significant barrier for hobbyists, students, and budget-conscious creators. This paper investigates the term “Adobe Audition free,” clarifying Adobe’s official stance (the free trial), examining the legal and cybersecurity risks of unauthorized “cracked” versions, and evaluating legitimate free alternatives. The conclusion asserts that while no perpetual free version exists, viable open-source and freemium DAWs provide comparable functionality for non-professional use.

One of the features I loved most about Adobe Audition was its multitrack editing capability. It allowed me to work on different parts of my track simultaneously, adjusting levels, adding effects, and experimenting with panning. This was a game-changer for me, as it offered a level of control I hadn't experienced before.
