Note that Broadcom no longer sells new 6.5 licenses, so you’ll need an existing perpetual key or upgrade to 8.0. Also, the 60-day trial offers no extensions. Works fine, but don’t expect any licensing flexibility."
Once you have your 25-character alphanumeric key, follow these steps in the vSphere Web Client: Navigate to Administration > Licensing > Licenses . Click the Assets tab and select vCenter Server Systems .
You can no longer find your keys on the old MyVMware portal. Instead, you must log in to the Broadcom Support Dashboard: Go to My Entitlements . Select your Site Name/Number .
