A civil engineer receives a SHP file of sewer mains. They run IMPORTGIS , assign EPSG:2230, and choose "Import as Feature Classes." Each pipe becomes a polyline with diameter, material, and install_date attributes. The engineer adds 10 new manholes (points) using a custom block, fills attributes in the Data View, then runs EXPORTGIS to GPKG. The GIS team opens the GPKG – no data loss, no coordinate mismatch.
