Hp Boot Safe Mode ✧

Starting with Windows 8 and solidified in 10/11, Microsoft shortened the boot time so drastically that F8 interrupts are ignored by default. HP UEFI firmware respects this.

HP drivers sometimes conflict with Safe Mode entry.

On older HP machines running Windows 7, you can use the F8 key, but timing is critical.

Many HP business systems (EliteBook, ProBook, ZBook) include – a hardware-enforced BIOS protection. If you interrupt boot too many times, Sure Start may restore a factory BIOS image, resetting boot order. This can break Safe Mode attempts. Solution: Enter BIOS (F10) → Security → Sure Start → Temporarily disable during troubleshooting.
