He hung up. He felt nickel-and-dimed. It was the principle of the thing. He wasn't going to pay $160 a year for a map when his phone did it for free. He would just use CarPlay.

To use the "good" features (like Google built-in on newer models or sending directions to the car), you need the $24 bundle. But even then, Nissan’s voice recognition is terrible compared to "Hey Google" or "Siri."
Unless you live in an area with zero cell service and need the satellite SOS feature (which is admittedly solid), do not pay for this.
