Her 2022 project, Echoes in the Concrete , exemplified this evolution. The installation transformed a gallery space into a maze of sheer fabrics and projected imagery. Visitors were invited to walk through layers of translucent photographs of Karachi and New York, the images bleeding into one another. The effect was disorienting yet serene. It forced the viewer to occupy the space between two worlds, to become a temporary participant in the diasporic experience. It was a bold curatorial choice that required the audience to slow down, to move with intention, and to accept that clarity is not always possible—or necessary.
