The genius of NILA was its user interface. It didn't look like a shady hacking tool; it looked like a legitimate administrative utility. When launched, it would scan the installed NI software suite and present the user with a tree view of available packages: LabVIEW Professional, various toolkits (Control Design, Simulation, Sound and Vibration), and drivers.
