The secondary chamber (also known as the aeration chamber or filter chamber) receives the partially treated effluent from the primary chamber. The secondary chamber is designed to provide additional treatment through aeration, filtration, or other mechanisms. The effluent from the secondary chamber is then discharged into a drainfield or other dispersal system for further treatment and disposal.
