Flipnote Studio was one of the first DS apps to heavily integrate the microphone into the creative process.
But the community refused to die. Fans created —a custom server that resurrected Flipnote Hatena for modded DS consoles and the 3DS. As of 2025, Sudomemo is still active, allowing new generations to experience the magic.
